Obstacles to scientific research from the perspective of researchers

a case study of researchers in research centers affiliated with the Libyan Authority for Scientific Research

Abstract

The study aims to identify the problems and obstacles facing researchers in research centers affiliated with the Libyan Authority for Scientific Research, as it is the only Libyan institution concerned with researchers, through submitting research proposals and then implementing them, as well as when publishing in scientific journals and periodicals classified in local and international databases if possible. It also aims to reveal statistically significant differences between the mean responses of researchers on the publication questionnaire. The study used the descriptive approach, and employed the questionnaire as a tool, on a sample of researchers in research centers (numbering 55 researchers). The study included four axes: the first axis addressed (obstacles related to the workplace), the second axis addressed (obstacles related to equipment and devices), the third axis addressed (obstacles related to the publishing entity), while the fourth and final axis addressed (the goals and motivations of researchers for their scientific production).
